Amrita Mudan is a hair and makeup artist and esthetician based in the West Midlands.
Recent credits include Riz Ahmed’s “Quarter Life” (Amazon Prime), BBC’s “End of Play” and “Just Act Normal”, Candice Carty-Williams’ acclaimed series “Champion” (BBC/Netflix), Iggy London’s short film “Area Boy” (BBC Film), and “DI Ray Season 2” (ITV), starring Parminder Nagra.
Specialising in hair, makeup, and prosthetics, Amrita has worked on film and television projects for BBC, ITV, Film 4, Amazon Prime, and Netflix, with short films that have screened internationally at BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying prestigious film festivals such as Venice, BFI London Film Festival, British Shorts, Newport Beach, and the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
Commercial clients include Google, Nike, British Vogue, Warner Music, Boots, British GQ, Puma, Dazed, Agile Films, Places+Faces, and 180 Studios.
Amrita is a BAFTA Connect member and visiting lecturer at the University of Birmingham, where she has taught several hair and makeup masterclasses for Create Central’s Scripted Drama Bootcamp, funded by BBC and WMCA, focusing on democratizing access for all and engaging with underrepresented groups in the West Midlands.
Most recently, she traveled to Sicily for the second time as a makeup designer and teacher with a select group of the Young Film Academy’s most promising students to create a short film that unites educational training with real-world film industry opportunity.
